St. Patrick's Day Sneeky
/In honor of St. Patrick's Day I'm serving up one of my most refreshing, green sneekys. For those who prefer their drinks straight up rather than in a can, this is the perfect drink for you! I'll be enjoying this St. Patrick's Day outdoors with one of these in hand. Who's with me?!
Cucumber Cocktail
What: My favorite green drink, The Cucumber Cocktail at Cru.
Where:
Cru Restaurant, On my favorite island, Nantucket
Who:
The Greatest “barologist” on Island, Tommy Heiser, well-versed in intellectual exchanges, stimulating chatter and the latest Grey Lady gossip, to which the Powers girls (my sisters) refer to as “summer
talk"
- 1 oz fresh cucumber juice
- 2 1/2 oz Zumbrowska vodka
- 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 oz toasted sesame
- simple syrup
- 3 leaves of lemon balm
- Slap lemon balm to release oils
- Add to shaker with all other ingredients
- Add ice to shaker
- Strain into Champagne Coupe glass and garnish with fresh cucumber
