Citrus Celery Margarita

I love citrus season. There is one spot in LA that has all these amazing orange trees. It's on the way up to Franklin Canyon where I like to hike. The orange blossoms are intoxicating. I also love using an abundance of citrus on my tablescapes.

A nutritionist friend told me celery was really good for you, so I added the two together and- Voila!

Citrus Celery Margarita
Juice:
1 Bunch of celery
1 Pineapple Skin taken off and chunked up
2 Serrano Chili peppers (add more if you want to add a bit more spice)
Put all of the above ingredients in a blender and blend away. You can either use it with the pulp or strain it for a smooth juice. I like to put in a clear wine bottle and label it.
Margarita:
2 ounce Tequilla
1 ounce fresh squeezed Lime
1 ounce juice
1/2 ounce agave
Put all the ingredients in a shaker or jar filled with ice. Shake, shake, shake. I keep big ice cubes I made in my freezer and use them for my margarita's. Here is a link to my favorite trays:

I also love salt in my margarita so I make this rimmed salt, which can be used on any sneaky but is especially good on this one.
Citrus Celery Salt:
Mix equal parts celery salt to Lime zest.
Tip: Zest your limes. Spread them out in a thin layer to dry out a bit of the moisture then mix the two together.
I hope you enjoy as much as I do.
